Taverneer - Final Sprint
Changes to Final : No dungeon. I couldn't get it to work mechanically, and it wasn't fun. It also was a cause of huge lag, so this should now run fine in the web browser. There is a proper game over and win state now. Boffas don't want money, they just want to be fed, but they don't pay. You shouldn't be able to fall out of the world anymore.
The Story
You owe the Big Boffa, and he isn't the forgiving type. He's set you up with a tavern in Boffa City and given you one week to pay — a little more each night, until the number turns obscene. Miss a payment and you don't see day eight.
Serve. Ninety seconds a night. Customers sit down and picture a dish over their heads; you make it, carry it, and hand it over — hands only, no menus. Serve fast and they tip like kings; keep them waiting and they stiff you. Tips land on the table as real, scoopable coins, and nobody will sit in someone else's money, so clear the benches or run out of seats.
Spend. The gaps in your kitchen are the stations you don't own yet — you can see each one standing there in blue, waiting. Look at one, click, and it's built out of the till. A new dish means richer customers and a bigger night's take, and the menu grows in order: fill out what you've got before the good stuff opens up. The shop counter sells stamina and speed. Every coin you spend is a coin the Boffa doesn't get tonight, and that's the whole game.
Get Ready! It gets worse as the week goes on. From the third night, neglect your customers and a boffa takes a stool at your counter — and he doesn't want a cut, he wants dinner. Cook whatever's in his bubble and hand it over. He won't pay for it, he can't be shooed off, and he will not budge until he's fed: not at closing, not overnight, not ever. Let enough of them pile up and there's nowhere left for anyone who actually pays. From the fourth night, thieves start working the till — stop one with a well-thrown carrot and he drops the lot.
Survive. Shut the kitchen, turn in, and he collects. Come up short once and you get a single night's grace, with the shortfall carried over at interest. Come up short again — ever — and there's no third chance. Last all seven nights and the tavern, and your freedom, are yours.
Controls
- WASD to move, mouse to look
- Left and right click are your two hands — grab, drop, dispense, throw
- Walk into doors to shove them open; look at stations, empty slots, the shop and your bed to use them

Very fun, bit laggy but that's not the games fault and its still playable. Very chaotic in a good way, and feels like a complete game! :D
It's so good my laptop couldn't handle it
so addictive, Love it.
Very cool game! There are some collision issues, such as the door in the upgrade part of the kitchen where the thieves come. The randomly generated dungeons are cool but sometimes the spawn with no ground next to the stairs so you just fall of the map forever. Difficulty scaling feels balanced but being able to move around where the items are would be cool!
Yep, I will make it so there are less gaps between bench placement so you don't have to run as far, and also let you place them at any of the locations, rather than the prescribed one, which was a holdover from a previous iteration where you would play a little extraction game in the dungeon, but I felt that the extraction mechanics didn't really work in the game (and wasn't much fun) and took away from the main part - the serving food
Very cool and interesting game. One minor bug was that one of the walls was missing collisions, and I fell off the map.
oops, I forgot to fix those walls
